Salmonberry Wine
Made from
wild salmonberries, handpicked right here on Kodiak Island, this wine's
tantalizing bouquet offers spicy tones of cinnamon, clove and vanilla. Fruity
and medium bodied, this dry wine balances the rich sweetness of the salmonberry with
a pomegranate,
butter and vanilla finish. What is a salmonberry? They are very similar
to raspberries only larger, more translucent in appearance and milder in flavor.
Salmonberries are indigenous to Alaska and some western coastal states.
